Urticaria

Urticaria is a type of skin rash which cause pale red, raised, itchy bumps. It is also known as Hives. Hives is generally the reaction of allergy but there are some non-allergic causes also. In most of the cases Hives lasts for less than six weeks. Chronic Urticaria is a type of hives which lasts more than six weeks and caused by an allergy. Most of the people who have this disease do not know the cause. A common cause of Urticaria is viral infection. There are some other causes like friction, pressure, exercise, extreme temperature, sunlight etc. which are less common.
